Zawin ambled down the wide avenues toward Fountain Square. It was a wonderful place to have lunch, next to the water in the midst of a crowd. There was no doubt that there would probably be children playing in the water, as school had been let out early. The teachers wanted to enjoy the sun just at much as their students.
Avoiding the legs of a young Argentinosaurus who was deep in conversation with a girl on a balcony, Zawin came into the square. It was bustling, with people and saurians moving to and fro. Some sat at benches, others at tables where their occupants discussed matters as varied as the they are. Vendors advertised drinks and food and bantered amiably with their patrons. A quartet of Hadrosaurs practiced a choral piece in the shade, completing the summer time ambiance Zawin loved.
Zawin ordered a lemonade from one of the vendors before choosing a shady spot beneath a gingko tree. Laying his immense girth down, he sighed contentedly. A kindly Struthiomimus brought his drink, and left with a chipper cluck. Sipping, Zawin closed his eyes, letting the cool zest wash over him.
Turning his attention to the Square, Zawin began his favorite past time: watching people and saurians. A Citipati nanny tended to her young charges. A elderly woman was deep in conversation with a Beipiaosaurus. A painter was busily sketching the scene before him. Zawin sipped his drink and watched.
